Dance India Asia Pacific

Dance India Asia Pacific (DIAP) is an exciting and visionary dance education programme for students, teachers and performing artistes of Indian classical dance. Dance India Asia Pacific has been organised by Apsaras Arts since 2011, in collaboration with Milapfest and Esplanade Theatres on the Bay, supported by Singapore’s National Arts Council Singapore.

What’s new at DIAP2018? :
FOUR (4)
exciting new core training program courses have been introduced this year – TWO 2 “Foundation Courses” for Bharatanatyam and Kathak, a “Abhinaya Course” designed for dancers at advanced level who are practicing the Indian classical dance genres of Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Odissi, Mohiniattam and Kuchippudi, and a brand new “DIAP Residency Program” have been introduced this year.

DIAP2019 will offer a brand new program – A 7 Day Choreography Lab (Bharatanatyam) for Dance Teachers & Choreographers, which will be conducted by Rama Vaidyanathan

LecDems

LecDems on Interesting topics will be conduced by the visiting faculty and guest artistes, which will be conducted at the Black Box @ Goodman Arts Centre from 6pm-7pm daily from 8th to 11th June 2019. 

Showcase Performances 

Catch the showcase performances at the Esplanade Theatre Studio on 13th and 14th June, 8pm, presented as part Dance India Asia Pacific 2019.

The participants who sign-up for any one of the above core programmes will be also enrolled into the following :

(i) All workshops and Lecture Demonstrations

(ii) Daily Warm-up sessions

(iii) Discounted ticket charges to attend the showcase performances at Esplanade Theatres on the Bay

FRINGE PROGRAMMES

Fringe events will be announced soon.

The course fee details for each course is included in the respective registration links. Course fees includes admission to core programmes, workshops, LecDems, talks, and daily lunch and tea breaks, daily warm-up sessions and Dance India Asia Pacific 2018 welcome pack.

All participants will be awarded certificate of completion awarded by Milapfest, UK and Apsaras Arts, Singapore.
